5 Favorite Breakfasts
Breakfast - the most important meal of the day! It also happens to be my favorite meal of the day.
Dairy and eggs always seem to be at the forefront of people’s thoughts for their morning meal and eliminating those either by choice or because of allergies can cause a lot of stress.
I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way! Here’s a round up of my 5 favorite breakfasts.
Smoothies - Honestly, this is what I have the majority of the time. It’s so simple to blend water, ice, fruit, Sunbutter and my favorite Vivolife protein powder (optional) to get a satisfying meal that keeps me fueled until lunch.
Pancakes - Super versatile and easy to switch the flavor with different toppings (see my favorites HERE). You can also batch cook these and just pop them in the toaster on your way out in the morning.
Quinoa Porridge - It took me a while to try this one because I was super skeptical. Quinoa is for savory dishes, why would I top it with fruit? When I finally got over my ridiculous aversion, I found I love it! Simply make you’re quinoa as normal, but add in a little vanilla and cinnamon as you cook it. Top with fruit and extra coconut milk (or milk of choice). Super tasty!
Toast - Seems like a simple option - because it is! I like to eat mine with Sunbutter, banana and a few good dashes of cinnamon. The extra toppings will help make it more filling.
Yogurt - On it’s own, yogurt is not very satisfying. I like to take plain, unsweetened coconut yogurt and mix it up with fruit and toppings. If I’ve just worked out, I’ll usually add a scoop or two of protein powder for a little boost.
